EYELASH EXTENSIONS

What are eyelash extensions?

  • Eyelash extensions are single strands of synthetic (or mink) eyelashes that are virtually weightless and curved to replicate a natural eyelash.  These semi-permanent lashes are applied directly to the individual natural eyelashes, one at a time.  XtremeLashes Eyelash Extensions are available in over 1000 different lengths, thicknesses, colors, and curvatures.  We will conduct a thorough consultation to assess your needs, allowing you the opportunity to design your customized lash look to compliment your individual beauty.  The result is a long-lasting and natural-looking extension of your natural beauty.

  • Are eyelash extensions safe?

    • Bond Girl Lashes uses only XtremeLashes products because they are the safest on the market.  XtremeLashes products, application procedures, and adhesives are exclusively developed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance by a team of scientists, physicians, and expert lash stylists.  Their patented Flex Fusion adhesive is FDA-approved, and all products are made in the USA.  Only credentialed health and beauty professionals who have successfully completed rigorous, comprehensive, hands-on training can become an XtremeLashes Certified Stylist.

  • How often should I get touch-ups?

    • We recommend getting a touch-up every 2-3 weeks.  Due to their natural growth cycle, your natural eyelashes fall off every 45-60 days and are naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. Everyone's experience will differ based on the natural chemistry of their eyelashes and day-to-day activities. Other factors such as exposure to steam or rubbing and touching your eyes often may cause the extensions to fall off quicker.  Touch-ups are needed to replace any lashes that have fallen off or grown out.

  • What’s the procedure like?

    • Come ready to relax.  Your eyes will be closed during the entire procedure.  You will be lying flat on your back on a massage chair with pillows under your neck and knees and a blanket while listening to soothing music.  Oftentimes, our clients fall asleep. If you have a musical preference, let us know and we will accommodate your requests.  You will wake up renewed and ready to take on the world with your beautiful, luscious new lashes!

  • Can I apply mascara to my eyelash extensions?

    • Yes.  You may find that you don't need mascara because the extensions give the illusion that you're already wearing it. However, if you do decide to wear it, make sure it's a water-based mascara (not oil-based or waterproof).  The oil-based and waterproof mascaras can break down the adhesive and shorten the life of your extensions, causing them to fall sooner. If you decide to use mascara, apply it from the middle to the tip avoiding the base of the lashes.  When removing the mascara, make sure you use a water-based makeup remover.

XtremeLashes offers a complete line of Award Winning skincare and cosmetics that are designed and formulated to work with your eyelash extensions (from eye makeup removers to eyelash fortifiers to eyeliners and mascaras).  We will have basic maintenance and care products on hand for sale at the salon that you can take home right away.  For the entire line of products, visit XtremeLashes Eyelash Extensions website and use our promo code "XLBONDGIRLLASHES' for 10% off your entire order.

LASHES

  • Arriving at your appointment with no makeup around your eye area and clean lashes will increase fill time. If that is not possible, please arrive 10 mins earlier as we have makeup remover available for you. If you're coming from work or in the middle of the day, don't worry! We have makeup remover in the salon.

  • Avoid consuming caffeine at least one hour before your appointment. We want you to be able to come and relax during your appointment and we've found that caffeine causes your eyelids to flutter sometimes making it difficult to apply the extensions.

LASHES

  • Do not get your lashes wet for 3 hours after your appointment. You may take a shower after 3 hours but do not stand in the steam the first day. It's best to let the adhesive dry for 12 hours after application.

  • Clean lashes daily with oil-free cleanser/soap and water. Oils from your eyelids will build up at the base of your lashes so keeping them clean will extend the wear. Brush regularly with the spooley given after your appointment. Do not brush wet lashes. Dry wet lashes with hair dryer on a cool setting.
